Swing the Hammer Films Ltd. is an Irish production company founded in 2023, developing features and documentaries that explore the human experience through a distinctly contemplative lens. Our work is rooted in long-form observational storytelling, drawing influence from the traditions of Béla Tarr, Andrei Tarkovsky, and Nuri Bilge Ceylan.
The company was founded by director and producer Caleb Winn, whose debut feature Nasumice — Adrift premiered at the Sarajevo Film Festival and won Best Feature at the Tripoli Film Festival in 2018. With over twenty years of experience in post-production and sound design, and a deep grounding in rural Italian life, Caleb brings an unusually textured perspective to the projects he develops.
Swing the Hammer operates internationally — between Ireland and Italy — and has experience navigating complex co-production structures and European funding mechanisms including Screen Ireland, Eurimages, and the Italian MiC. We are committed to building genuine international partnerships rooted in shared creative vision.
